Monash University Indonesia Bachelor’s Degrees: Choosing Digital Business, Information Technology or Design for 2027

Monash University, Indonesia is open for 2027 intake across three bachelor’s programs: Bachelor of Digital Business, Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Design.[2] This gives prospective students an option to pursue a bachelor’s education with an international perspective while studying in Indonesia.

A date distinction matters. The starting news article announced the undergraduate launch for the July 2026 academic year.[1] A newer Monash University, Indonesia homepage states that undergraduate programs are open for the 2027 intake.[2] Always recheck intake, fees, deadlines and entry requirements on official pages when you are ready to apply.

1. Bachelor of Digital Business

This program combines broad business knowledge with specialised digital-business expertise and opportunities to deepen innovation and leadership knowledge.[3]

Ask whether you enjoy business analysis, communication, problem solving and interdisciplinary teamwork.

2. Bachelor of Information Technology

Bachelor of Information Technology has a Software Development major.[4] Monash describes content across programming, software development, databases, networks and security, and IT project management.[4]

This is a stronger fit for students who want to build technology solutions, not simply use apps. Interest in logic, mathematics, coding and project-based learning will help. Monash also lists Global Intercampus Program or Campus Transfer options; check current eligibility, fees, visa implications and availability directly with the university.[4]

3. Bachelor of Design

Bachelor of Design develops creative, technical and strategic skills for complex problem solving and improved user experiences.[1] The launch release names Collaborative, Communication, Industrial and Spatial Design concentrations, selected in the second year.[1]

Students need research, presentation, iteration and studio-project skills.

How to choose

Compare the degrees through four questions:

  1. What problems do you want to solve: business strategy, technology systems or user experiences?
  2. Which tasks do you enjoy: business analysis, coding/data, or visual and studio projects?
  3. What English and Mathematics requirements apply to your preferred degree?
  4. Does your global plan fit the available intercampus or transfer options?

Monash’s application guide says students are generally required to provide a valid Indonesian identity card, an English-language high-school diploma, a transcript or school report in English, and proof of English and Mathematics proficiency.[5] For Indonesian-language documents, contact a RIM Education counsellor for document-preparation support and confirmation of Monash’s accepted translation format.[5] After an Unconditional Letter of Offer, applicants need to request a study permit.[5]
